I am a few weeks away from finishing a decent draft of the Office Crush book (woo hoo!), and now I’m collecting covers that I love to give to my amazing graphic designer friend for inspiration.
So! I need your help. If you could design the OC book cover, what would be on it? Do you have a favorite book cover you love and could share the link or image with me? I’d be very grateful for your help!
Honestly I really love your header, and I think it’d be nice to have something along those lines. I especially like the idea of the whole cover being that wallpaper background. *shrugs* I like it, but what do I know.
I am with this person! I like covers that don’t have faces. That way, the reader can feel more included.
Um, not to be unoriginal, but I agree with the above comment…
I’m totally unoriginal and agree with the other commenters. Your header is adorable, so run with it.
I love a whimsical font. Also, I love it when I can connect a moment in the book to the cover image.
The reason I clicked on your blog and started reading is because I saw a thumbnail somewhere of the shoes in your header. So, yeah, I agree with the other commenters. Use what you’ve got!
I ADORE the cover of The Shoemaker’s Wife by Adriana Trigiani. Also, and don’t smack me, but Carrie’s cover in Sex and the City (a sexy, business-type outfit). But I would like it as a drawing for OC, not a real person posing.
I’m seeing the surface of a desk with office supplies laid out in the shape of a (love) triangle.
I agree with several of the other posters, no faces since I already have in my head how the characters look. I too love the header you already use.
Even before I read the other comments I was going to say the header.
I was thinking a bicycle.
I do like your header and don’t want to be disagreeable, but when I saw your post in my reader, I immediately imaged a strong graphic of a bicycle in the middle (like coming at you) and a suit on one side and a hoodie on the other (no faces/bodies in either of them) Unfortunately I’ve got no skillz to show you what’s illuminated in my head.
Oh. . and I’m just posting again because I forgot to hit the notify me button. Oops.
